Bleasedale Lodge is not your usual camping holiday. Beautifully equipped and furnished with solid decking floors, separate bedrooms, and even a wood burning stove and hot water, the lodge provides an idyllic way to spend a wonderfully relaxing few days in the depths of this picturesque region.
Ideal for a romantic retreat or a glorious family holiday spent discovering rural England, Beasedale has plenty of comfortable, cosy amenities, such as a large sofa and chairs arranged around the traditional wood burner, perfect for unwinding on chillier evenings or when the weather is less than ideal. Guests can also enjoy an early morning coffee or while away long summer evenings on the outside decking, basking in the tranquility of the stunning surroundings.
Bleasedale Lodge accommodation
The luxurious tent comprises three spacious bedrooms: one double, one twin, and one bunk room. All the beds are made from solid pine, with comfy mattresses and bedding, to ensure guests have a relaxing, sumptuous sleep after a busy day exploring.
The shower and WC are accessed through the main door and are both fully plumbed in, while the shower runs off an independent hot water system and has a fully adjustable head, making sure that your stay in the great outdoors is convenient and restful, with all the comforts of home.
The kitchen has a butane hob, which is ideal for simple meals and plenty of tea after a long day outside! The wood burning stove is perfect for some delicious, all-in casseroles, which really suits the rustic ambience of the property.
The dining area gives access to a zipped porch area, which is convenient for storing all your outdoor clutter, such as muddy wellies, wet coats and sandy beach toys.
Guests can order locally sourced breakfast packs, bbq packs etc. during the booking process.

The Forest of Bowland is a truly stunning region. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it offers plenty to see and explore, all within easy reach of Beasedale. Visitors can enjoy a vast array of traditional English rural sights, such as Cobble Hey Farm & Gardens; a delightful, working farm and gardens, it makes a wonderful countryside day out for guests of all ages.
The Forest has its own website, which provides a list of incredible walks around the area, with different routes to suit all abilities. Spend a day discovering the wonderful nature trails and interesting local wildlife.

For yet more wildlife experiences, visitors must take a trip to Bowland Wild Boar Park, where it’s possible to see and feed lots of different animals, including deers, llamas and goats, as well as take lovely, leisurely walks along the River Hodder.
There are also lots of more adult-friendly activities available in the area. The Inn at Whitewell is a fabulous, traditional rural pub that boasts a delicious menu of local game, such as seasonal grouse from Lancashire Moor, pheasant and partridge from Dunsop shoot, Bowland beef and Lonk lamb from Burholme Farm. Clitheroe Golf Club is situated in a truly stunning location, nestled in the Ribble Valley just outside Clitheroe town. Enjoy a relaxing morning spent on the course, taking in the breath taking views.
Meanwhile, the award-winning, picturesque villages of Chipping, Dunsop Bridge and Waddington make a delightful location for an afternoon spent wandering around pretty, historic streets and quaint local shops and tea rooms. Guests must see glorious Waddington for themselves, and marvel at its charm, which has earned it the title of ‘Best Kept Village in Lancashire’ on many occasions.
If you time your visit just right, you will also be able to take part in one of the many annual events in the area, such as the Claughton Woodland Walk, Discover Bleasdale, Building for Birds, Café Walk and Cobbley Hey.
