Elworthy Lodge is an impressive rural lodge, situated in its own private gardens on a working livestock farm.

The cabin is set in an extremely convenient location, just outside Bishops Nympton and surrounded by the stunning Devonshire countryside.

Elworthy Lodge accommodation

All on the ground floor, the lodge consists of three bedrooms: one king-size double with an en-suite shower, basin and WC, and two twins (one with 2’ 6” beds). The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a basin and WC.

The open plan living area is with kitchen, dining area and cosy sitting area complete with electric fire, perfect for cooler evenings or days when the weather is less than ideal.

There is also a pretty, private garden with a patio, an idyllic spot for a sunny morning coffee or whiling away warm summer evenings soaking up the peaceful atmosphere and picturesque scenery.

General amenities include: gas central heating with an electric fire, an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and dishwasher.

There are two TVs with Freeview and DVD players, so guests will never be short on entertainment, no matter what the weather is doing.

Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. The shop is just a nine-minute walk away, and the nearest pub two miles. There is off road parking with space for two cars.

Two well-behaved dogs welcome, and the garden even has a special area for dogs that includes a kennel. Sorry, no smoking.

Please note: Although all on the ground floor, the lodge isn’t suitable for wheelchair users.

The lodge is located conveniently close to South Molton, a charming Devonshire market town, known ‘The Gateway to Exmoor’. It offers plenty of shops, cafes and lively pubs, as well as a weekly market.

The surrounding area is truly stunning, with the spectacular coast and dramatic moors and beautiful forests all within easy reach. There are also lots of historical sites to discover, such as Tarr Steps, Lanacre Bridge and the village of Withypool.

Of course Exmoor provides a vast array of walking and cycling trails, all with incredible views of the vast skies and rolling moorland.

Visitors looking for a traditional British seaside resort should head to Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, which boast plenty of activities and lovely beaches.
