Sherwood Forest Lodges are a superb collection of lodges nestled in magical Sherwood Forest. The location of these fantastic properties is truly special; they all enjoy wonderful views of endless forest and lush green glades. With a vast array of play areas, walks and cycle trails (mountain bike hire available locally) for all abilities this is an ideal base for exploring the picturesque scenery, villages and market towns of this world-famous region.

The park itself offers lots of great activities and facilities, including: adventure activities*, forest walks/cycle trails/nature trails and ranger-led walks and activities*, as well as a children’s play area, shop and coffee lounge and launderette*.

Sherwood Forest Lodges accommodation

Guests can choose from a selection of gorgeous one, two, three, four and five bedroom lodges. All have been designed to really make the most of the beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Each one benefits from large outdoor decking, complete with garden furniture. Deluxe lodges even have their very own hot tubs. A truly magical way to unwind and bask in the tranquil forest surroundings, or perhaps even enjoy a spot of stargazing (except Copper Beech lodges).

General amenities include: a flat screen TV, as well as a kitchen including microwave and dishwasher.

Rent includes bed linen and duvets, as well as towels and hot tub towels (in Golden Oak lodges only). In addition, guests receive complimentary toiletries on arrival. Travel cots and highchairs are also available, for £5 per night each. Pets welcome charged at £10 per night each (max 4) (in specific accommodation only).

Sherwood Forest Lodges surrounding area

This mystical, beautiful area of the country is famous for its ancient, mythical history. Steeped in legend, this is a landscape of lush forest, bustling market towns and quaint, ancient villages. Of course you simply cannot visit the region and not head to world-famous Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood. Wander through dappled sunlight as you discover the ancient woodland. To explore the area on bike, you can cycle through lovely woodland beside the Derwent and Ladybower reservoirs. Or the Middleton Top Trail is an impressive, 17.5 mile, traffic free track that takes you through a variety of scenery.

Elsewhere, the Crooked Spire Church in Chesterfield is a wonderful little gem of history. It has been a place of worship for 800 years, and offers a beautiful insight into the rich heritage of the region.

Of course, the vibrant city of Nottingham is a real must-visit. Boasting its own fascinating history, as well as plenty of excellent shops, bars, restaurants, and everything you need for a night on the town.
